SALARY: District Long-term Substitute Rate: Per Diem $220.00 With an additional $25.00 per day after the first 20 days. John Bilodeau Superintendent GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP PUBLIC SCHOOLS JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: SCHOOL COUNSELOR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Holds or is eligible for a valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate with School

Counselor endorsement or a similar School Counselor Certificate.

• A Master's degree in School Counseling or related field from an accredited college or

university

• A minimum of 3 successful years in School Counseling and/or Teaching is preferred.

• Must exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a

demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families. REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Clinical Support Services - Building Principal. JOB GOAL:

• To support the academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral development of all

students by providing a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes student success and well-being. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide classroom, individual, and small group counseling lessons that address student academic, personal, and socio-emotional needs.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with state and national standards.

• Appraise and assist students in developing academic, personal, and socio-emotional

goals consistent with their identified values and belief systems.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student academic and socio-emotional development and success.

• Facilitate conflict resolution, peer mediation, and crisis interventions as needed.

• Participate in the development and implementation of MTSS, Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS), Section 504 plans, HIB management, and Threat Assessment

procedures. COMPENSATION: Long-term Substitute Per Diem $220.00 +$25.00 additional after the first 20 days. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Interim VACATION: There is no vacation time allotted to this position. EVALUATION: Performance of the job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
