JOB TITLE: Office Clerk REPORTS TO: Principal POSITION STATEMENT: The Office Clerk is responsible for providing general office support as well as knowledgeable and professional administrative services to students, staff, and community in a friendly, efficient, and timely manner so that the overall educational objectives of the school district may be achieved. This position is responsible for providing direct support to the Principal and Assistant Principal, in partnership and collaboration with the building's administrative team, in order to assure smooth and efficient operation of the school at all times. This position follows our Paraprofessional work calendar with the individual working 182 full days during the school year and receiving 7 paid holidays per year. Additional work days may be requested and completed during the summer months and school breaks upon mutual agreement between the Employee and the School Principal; these days would be paid on a per-diem basis with the completion and submission of time sheets. Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Previous work experience in an office setting is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office, and Google Applications.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Office / Administrative Support
• Answer and/or direct phone calls.
• Screen, greet, admit and/or direct visitors to the school as appropriate using the building's communication system and security protocols.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
• Photocopy, fax and scan material as needed.
• Maintain office equipment by troubleshooting minor issues and/or arranging for service calls as requested or approved by the Principal.
• Assist in tracking and maintaining supplies and placing orders as needed.
• Assist in setting up student files and maintain information.
• Set up general office files and maintain information.
• Assist in managing the daily operations of the main office including:
• Coordinating with the Principal, Assistant Principal and Administrative Assistant on mailings, communications or any projects and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Assist in arranging for class coverage and daily substitute needs as needed.
• Data Entry
• Assist in maintaining student information in PowerSchool and other District systems as needed and directed.
• Manipulate the exporting and/or importing of data from multiple sources, to construct reports, as directed by the school's administrative team.
• Written and Verbal Communication:
• Proofread and review written communications.
• Compose correspondence for newsletter, staff bulletins, agendas, and business letters for the approval of the Principal and/or Assistant Principal.
• Conduct oneself at all times in a manner consistent with the utmost professional demeanor, whether communicating verbally or in writing, to/with staff, students, parents or any member of the community at large.
• Purchase Orders / Accounting
• Prepare, fill and process supply and purchase order requests as needed.
• Ensure supply deliveries match what was ordered and deliver supplies once confirmed to the appropriate classroom or storage area.
• Assist in maintaining supply inventories.
• Research cost comparison for requested supplies and equipment before placing orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Benefits & Compensation: Annual salary for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 is bugeted for $36,951 which will be prorated based upon the start date of the successful applicant. This position is eligible for sick and personal time benefits. Health & dental plans:
