Sociology and United States History Job Description: The DePaul College Prep Social Studies Department seeks an experienced, collaborative, energetic, and positive educator to teach Sociology and United States College Prep History. The ideal candidate is a qualified teacher with the following characteristics:
• Experience with a wide range of instructional strategies that are tailored to meet the needs and strengths of each student;
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive relationships with students;
• Willingness to work with a team of teachers to develop and present engaging, student-centered lessons and assessments;
• Incorporate various modes of technology into lesson plans;
• Proactive in maintaining open communication with parents, counselors, deans, learning specialists, and other staff;
• Dedicated to being a lifelong learner in the art and science of teaching young adults;
• Values and seeks to understand the cultural and social identities of each student and is dedicated to their academic, social- emotional, and spiritual growth;
