*Role Overview* The Mobile Crane Operator / Driver safely drives mobile cranes to and from project sites, sets up lifting equipment, and executes complex lifting operations in compliance with site safety standards and legal regulations. *Key Duties and Responsibilities* Driving & Transport: Safely drive and maneuver heavy mobile cranes on public roads and project sites, obeying traffic laws and weight restrictions. Crane Operation: Operate mobile crane controls to lift, move, and position heavy loads, machinery, and construction materials with precision. Site Preparation: Inspect job sites, assess ground conditions, set up outriggers, and configure counterweights safely. Rigging & Signaling: Work alongside slinger/signallers, verify load weights, and ensure safe rigging practices before every lift. Maintenance & Inspections: Perform daily walk-around checks, routine maintenance, fluid checks, and report mechanical faults immediately. Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, method statements, and lift plans. *Requirements and Qualifications* Licence: Full, clean Category CE Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) driving licence with proven professional driving experience. Certifications: Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Mobile Crane card and CSCS Slinger/Signaller ticket (or international equivalent subject to verification).Safety Pass: Valid Safe Pass registration (or local health and safety equivalent).Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of verifiable experience operating mobile cranes within heavy industry, logistics, or construction environments. Soft Skills: Strong spatial awareness, good communication skills for working with signalers, and flexibility regarding working hours.
