Job summary
The post holder will provide comprehensive operational support across Hotel Services, the post holder is required to undertake portering, transport, catering, domestic and linen duties as directed via the Hotel Services Supervisor in accordance with specification standards and Health & Safety legislation and is guided by standard operating procedures. The main duties focus upon Portering / Catering, including working in chilled & freezer units / Linen, Domestic & Transport duties.
Main duties of the job
Provide comprehensive operational support across support services including portering, domestic and linen duties.
Undertake catering duties in compliance with food safety legislation.
Undertake transport duties, deliver clean and the collect used and contaminated linen to and from wards / clinical areas,transferring the used / dirty to designated areas, which involves frequent exposure to unpleasant conditions.
Collection of refuse across health board premises and transfer to designated areas. Clear litter and sweep outside areas asdirected. Collect and deliver patient and staff meals three times daily as required.
Perform Catering, Domestic & Linen duties as required in order to ensure Hotel Services provision across the Health Board iscost effective and efficient, representing value for money.
