About this role

Job summary

The post holder will provide a high standard, efficient, cost-effective Virtual Ward service and business support hosted by Croydon Health Services NHS Trust in partnership with acute and community health service providers in Kingston and Richmond, Merton and Wandsworth, and Sutton.

The post holder will be line managed by, and will work closely with, the SWL Virtual Ward team to ensure that there is an effective and comprehensive administrative service for the Remote Monitoring Service. The post holder will be working at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust site.

Main duties of the job

To receive and process referrals for the SWL Remote Monitoring Team (virtual ward) ensuring that they are allocated appropriately by following departmental guidelines and working practices.

To be able to order clinical and non-clinical stock via the eProcurement system.

The post holder is expected to run and collate reports which may include reports to the board, Clinical Commissioning Group and senior management often having tight timescales to complete this work

To input, manage and provide weekly statistics from the integrated team tracker and work closely with Informatics to ensure the monthly dashboard is completed.

Person Specification

Education & Qualifications Essential

A levels or NVQ level 3 Evidence of basic IT skills (e.g. Word, Outlook)

Desirable

Customer service or admin qualification Training in EPR systems

Knowledge & Experience Essential

Understanding of administrative processes in healthcare Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection requirements

Desirable

Knowledge of medical terminology Basic understanding of Virtual Wards' patient pathways Experience of customer service in a multi-cultural environment

Experience Essential

Experience working in an administrative or customer-facing role Experience handling patient enquiries in Healthcare. Ability to compile reports, including graphs and tables, from different IT systems Ability to set up spreadsheets and other data collection tools Experience using IT systems and data entry

Desirable

Experience using EPR, including systems like Emis/Cerner Experience in supporting NHS services by active contribution to service improvement programmes/initiatives

Skills/Abilities Essential

Excellent communication skills Accurate data entry and attention to detail Ability to organise workload and follow procedures Ability to work effectively in a busy environment Able to work independently and as part of a team Strong organisational skills
