We are looking for a Radiology Booking Officer to join our friendly Radiology team at Yeovil Hospital on a weekend basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring appointments are booked efficiently and patients receive an excellent experience from the moment they arrive.
As the first point of contact for many patients, you will be welcoming visitors to the department, managing appointments, and supporting the smooth running of radiology services across the Trust and peripheral hospitals.
Hours areSaturday & Sunday, 08:30 - 16:00.
Main duties of the job
Working within a busy appointments and reception team, you will:
Welcome and check in patients attending for scans and X-raysProvide a professional and friendly service both face-to-face and over the telephoneBook, amend and reschedule radiology appointments in line with clinical priorities and Trust policiesEnsure patients receive the information and preparation guidance needed for their proceduresLiaise with clinicians, specialty teams, GP practices and community hospitalsMaintain accurate patient records using Trust IT systemsSupport the management of appointment capacity and short-notice cancellationsHelp ensure patients receive timely access to diagnostic servicesProvide administrative support and assist with general office duties as requiredIf you're a motivated administrator who enjoys working with people and wants to make a real difference to patient care, we'd love to hear from you.
