About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a kind, caring and compassionate admin professional to work as a Team Secretary for the Mid-Sussex Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, Specialist Adults at their Linwood Site in Haywards Heath. This is a permanent, full-time position for 37.5 hours per week.

You will require excellent administrative/secretarial skills, a good knowledge of Word and Outlook, and experience of working with the public. You may be required to help on our reception to cover annual leave; you will need to enjoy acting as the first point of contact to our service, be welcoming, caring and kind. You will need excellent communication skills as well as a commitment to caring for people in the local community.

Main duties of the job

Completion of clinic letters and other correspondence with high levels of accuracy and within a timely manner, working within a secretarial typing pool. Scheduling appointments and diary management. Telephone and email communications. Scanning & Uploading documents. Ordering Office Stationery via Oracle. To participate in the Trust's supervision and appraisal system. Reception - to help cover when needed - to welcome visitors, answer telephone enquiries, taking prescription requests, handling incoming and outgoing post.

We are a busy, friendly and caring administration team, based at Linwood community centre in Haywards Heath. We provide secretarial and administrative support to a variety of clinical staff. The administration team consists of telephonists, receptionists, secretaries and senior administrative staff.

Qualifications Essential

NVQ 3 or equivalent RSA 3 or equivalent experience and evidence of further practical experience or equivalent Good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above or equivalent

Knowledge/Experience Essential

Proven experience of a range of secretarial procedures Experience of producing documents to a high standard of presentation with good accuracy Experience of maintaining office systems Experience of working as part of a team
