Job summary
The Financial Services team have a vacancy for an accounts payable assistant based at our site at St. Mary's Hospital.
This role would be ideal for a candidate who has experience of customer service and accounts payable processes.
Main duties of the job
This role involves inputting invoices and credit notes onto the ledger, reconciling statements, dealing with queries by phone or email, building relationships with suppliers and with budget managers within the organisation.
The successful candidate will be expected to work within a small team, to ensure that invoices are processed in line with the Better Payment Practice Code.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
IT literate (Outlook, Excel & Word) Previous experience of using a finance system A basic understanding of Purchase Ledger/Payables concepts
Desirable
Previous experience of NHS Finance including COS VAT
Qualifications Essential
At least 4 GSCE's minimum Grade 4 (Previously Grade C) including Maths and English
Knowledge Essential
Demonstrate knowledge of basic finance/book-keeping skills
Experience Essential
