This is a temporary role for 8 weeks (or longer as determined by business) with a $5,000 completion bonus based on performance.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Varsity Brands is hiring a Sr. People Strategy & Data Manager, reporting to the SVP, Total Rewards, and serves as a strategic partner supporting the Chief People Officer (CPO), HR Leadership Team (HRLT), and Human Resources organization through workforce intelligence, strategic planning, analytics, AI enablement, and strategic initiatives.
The primary focus of this role is advancing Human Resources' data, analytics, and AI capabilities by leading enterprise workforce data initiatives, leading business implementation of the Snowflake data warehouse, partnering with stakeholders to define business requirements, developing executive dashboards and reporting, and identifying opportunities to leverage AI-enabled solutions that improve decision-making and operational effectiveness.
This role serves as Human Resources' primary business partner to Technology and Data & AI, translating business needs into scalable data, reporting, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that strengthen organizational decision-making.
Working in close partnership with the CPO and HR Leadership Team (HRLT), this role coordinates strategic priorities, ensuring enterprise priorities are translated into measurable outcomes that strengthen organizational capability, employee experience, leadership effectiveness, and business performance.
The Sr. People Strategy & Data Manager serves as the primary Human Resources lead for enterprise people data, analytics, AI enablement, and Snowflake implementation initiatives while providing strategic support through Human Resources project portfolio management, executive dashboards and reporting, workforce planning, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Data & AI, Technology, Communications, and business leadership.

Strategic Partnership & Human Capital Strategy
• Support execution of Human Resources strategic priorities through project portfolio management, governance, and operational planning
• Support HR financial planning, budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, financial reporting, and investment prioritization to ensure alignment with strategic priorities
• Partner with the SVP, Total Rewards, CPO, and HRLT to advance strategic priorities and organizational initiatives
• Facilitate and coordinate strategic planning, annual operating & financial planning, executive governance, and HR operating rhythms
• Partner with the HRLT to translate strategic priorities into actionable operating plans, measurable outcomes, and execution across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, HR Operations, and HR Business Partners
• Anticipate organizational risks, opportunities, and emerging trends to support informed decision-making
People Data, Analytics & Workforce Intelligence
• Partner with the SVP, Data & AI to develop and advance the Human Resources data and analytics strategy
• Lead Human Resources data collection efforts by facilitating stakeholder discovery sessions to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements, reporting needs, functional specifications, and analytical opportunities
• Translate business requirements into scalable Human Resources reporting, analytics, Snowflake data solutions, and supporting technology capabilities
• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing scenarios to support Human Resources reporting, analytics, and Snowflake enhancements
• Partner with Technology, Data & AI, and HR stakeholders to validate data quality, resolve reporting issues, and improve the integrity of Human Resources data
• Support implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Human Resources Snowflake data warehouse environment
• Partner with Technology and Data & AI teams to support data security, access governance, and role-based reporting within the Snowflake environment
• Partner with Technology, Data & AI, and business stakeholders to establish scalable HR data architecture and governance
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), validation, and deployment of Human Resources reporting, analytics, and Snowflake data solutions
• Design executive dashboards and workforce scorecards that provide actionable business insights
• Develop and maintain recurring executive dashboards, self-service dashboards, and workforce reporting that provide timely, accurate, and actionable business insights
• Develop and monitor key workforce performance indicators across the employee lifecycle
• Conduct advanced workforce analytics, predictive modeling, trend analyses, and correlation studies to identify drivers of organizational performance
• Translate complex workforce data into executive-level recommendations that improve decision-making
• Establish consistent measurement frameworks supporting strategic Human Resources priorities
Artificial Intelligence & Digital Enablement
• Partner with the HRLT, Technology, and Data & AI teams to identify, prioritize, and drive implementation of AI initiatives that enhance Human Resources effectiveness and employee experience
• Evaluate, prototype, and implement Snowflake AI capabilities and AI-enabled use cases that improve reporting, analytics, automation, workforce insights, and Human Resources operational efficiency
• Partner with the SVP, Data & AI to support Human Resources AI strategy, governance, and people data architecture
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions supporting Human Resources transformation
• Promote AI literacy and adoption throughout the Human Resources organization
Financial Strategy & Business Operations
• Support Human Resources budget development, forecasting, expense tracking, and financial reporting
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI assessments supporting strategic Human Resources investments
• Evaluate financial impacts and return on investment for Human Resources initiatives
• Partner with Finance to ensure strategic priorities align with financial objectives
• Monitor Human Resources operating performance against established goals and metrics
Governance, Portfolio Management & Operational Excellence
• Coordinate governance processes supporting Human Resources strategic initiatives
• Manage the Human Resources project portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, resource availability, and organizational capacity
• Maintain Human Resources project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and executive status reporting across the project portfolio
• Develop portfolio dashboards and project reporting that provide visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, and resource utilization
• Support portfolio management disciplines that improve prioritization, transparency, accountability, and execution
• Coordinate HRLT operating rhythms, quarterly business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and executive governance forums
• Monitor strategic initiative progress and proactively address risks, dependencies, and resource constraints
• Coordinate follow-up actions, executive decisions, and accountability across Human Resources strategic initiatives

Education, Certification and Experience Required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Finance, Data Analytics, Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 6+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Strategy, Business Operations, Management Consulting, Analytics, Organizational Transformation, or a related field
• Experience partnering with senior leaders, executive leadership teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Advanced experience with workforce analytics, dashboard development, enterprise reporting solutions, business intelligence, and implementation of HR analytics or technology solutions
• Experience partnering with Finance, Technology, and Data & AI organizations to drive strategic decision-making
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate discovery sessions, gather and prioritize business requirements, and translate business needs into analytics, reporting, and technology solutions within an Agile or iterative environment
• Demonstrated experience applying Artificial Intelligence to improve business processes and organizational effectiveness
