Gathers pertinent health data through physical assessments and biological samples. Collects specimens for laboratory analysis. • Provides basic patient care as ordered. Administers medications and treatments as directed. Assists other health care professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures and treatments, and minor medical procedures. Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies. • Documents assessments, interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, and test results in medical records. • Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions. • May travel to offsite offices for Outreach Clinic support based on clinic needs. Desired Skills: • Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures including preparation, screening, and ability to perform blood draws • Knowledge of infectious disease management and control and safety standards • Ability to initiating appropriate crisis intervention and emergency response • Time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination skills • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug dosages • Computer skills • Ability to interact respectfully with diverse cultural and socio-economic populations Here is What You Need: • License (must meet one of the following): • Current Wyoming Practical Nurse (PN) License from the Wyoming State Board of Nursing • Current enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC) • 14 Days: Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within fourteen (14) calendar days of start date • Outreach Only (determined by clinic leadership): • Valid USA driver’s license • Must have clean driving record that follows Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s driving guidelines Nice to Have: • Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a clinic setting About Cheyenne Regional: Cheyenne Regional Medical Center was founded in 1867 as a tent hospital by the Union Pacific Railroad to treat workers injured while building the transcontinental railroad.
