Job Summary:
Asan Engineering Manager, you'll lead a product engineering team focused on delivery, team health, and high-quality output. You’ll be responsible for building strong engineers, driving execution, and continuously improving how we work.
Responsibilities:
People and Team DevelopmentRun regular 1:1s to support growth and resolve blockersLead hiring, onboarding, and performance reviewsBuild a culture of direct feedback, ownership, and continuous improvementCoach engineers to level up technically and professionallySet clear expectations and hold the team accountable
Product and DeliveryWork closely with Product to define and plan roadmap workOwn sprint execution, backlog grooming, and delivery qualityUnblock issues, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure velocityMaintain a high bar for clarity in ticketing and planningAlign the team’s output with business and product goals
Process and Technical OversightImprove team workflows and developer experienceReview code and facilitate technical discussionsSpot bottlenecks and fix them before they growIdentify systemic issues and flag them early to leadershipEnsure what ships is what was intended — clean, tested, and on timeRequirements
3+ years of engineering experience across stacks2+ years managing engineers in product teamsProven success leading delivery on live customer-facing productsStrong instincts around quality, velocity, and team healthExperience building or improving systems, tools, and workflowsDirect and constructive communication style
