About this role

Job Title: BrazerJob DescriptionThe Brazer assembles and joins metal components using controlled heating processes, filler materials, and precision techniques to create strong, leak‑proof, and durable joints. This role requires careful metal preparation, accurate brazing operations, and thorough inspection of joint quality, while interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure high‑quality, reliable products. Responsibilities • Prepare metal components and copper piping for brazing, including cleaning, aligning, and securing parts to meet product specifications. • Perform brazing operations on copper piping and other metal assemblies using torches, induction heaters, and furnaces to achieve proper brazing temperature. • Join copper piping and other metal components using approved brazing techniques to create strong, leak‑proof joints. • Conduct leak checks on refrigerant circuits, including pressure testing and system evacuation, to verify system integrity and performance. • Handle general mechanical assembly work as part of the production process, ensuring components are correctly installed and secured. • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, work orders, and detailed instructions to assemble products according to specifications. • Inspect completed joints and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety and performance standards. • Follow established safety procedures related to heat, metalwork, and equipment operation to maintain a safe working environment. • Work independently or as part of a production team to meet daily and weekly production goals. • Lift, move, and position materials and assemblies weighing up to 50 to 75 pounds as needed during the brazing and assembly process. Essential Skills • At least 3 years of brazing experience. • Prior knowledge and hands-on experience joining copper piping using brazing techniques. • Ability to perform leak checks on refrigerant circuits, including pressure testing and system evacuation. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, work orders, and detailed instructions. • Strong manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precise brazing and assembly work. • High level of attention to detail to ensure joints are strong, leak‑proof, and meet quality standards. • Understanding of safety procedures related to heat, metalwork, and use of brazing equipment. • Ability to frequently lift 50 to 75 pounds in a production environment. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a production team. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in brazing, welding, or metal fabrication is preferred. • Experience using tools such as torches, induction heaters, and furnaces to heat metal parts to brazing temperature. • Comfort working in a warm indoor facility environment. • Mechanical aptitude and prior experience with general mechanical assembly work. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an indoor production facility with a warm working environment. The standard schedule consists of four 10‑hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., supporting a consistent and predictable workweek. Work involves regular use of brazing tools such as torches, induction heaters, and furnaces, as well as handling metal components and assemblies that may weigh between 50 and 75 pounds. A work uniform is provided, and safety footwear is supported through an annual allowance, reflecting a focus on safety and professionalism in the workplace. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
