Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionThe Production Associate works in a manufacturing plant on various stages of the glass production process. In this role, you perform visual inspections and quality checks, operate and adjust machinery, and handle products and racks to support efficient production and shipment preparation.Responsibilities
• Work in the manufacturing plant on assigned areas of the glass production process. • Perform detailed visual inspections of glass parts to ensure quality standards are met. • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process and report any defects or issues. • Load and unload glass onto various conveyor systems safely and efficiently. • Move racks and finished products to designated areas to prepare for shipment. • Band racks of products according to specific customer requirements and specifications. • Pack products securely for shipment to prevent damage in transit. • Make minor machine adjustments as needed to maintain smooth operation. • Collaborate with the maintenance team during machine breakdowns to support troubleshooting and repairs. • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment at all times. • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the plant production environment. • Adhere to attendance expectations and reliability standards, especially during the initial 90 days. Essential Skills
• Experience in production or general production work in a manufacturing environment. • Proficiency with assembly tasks in a plant or industrial setting. • Hands-on experience as a machine operator, including basic machine operation and adjustments. • Ability to perform visual inspection of parts to identify defects or quality issues. • Experience in packaging and packing products for shipment. • Previous work as a production worker or in automotive assembly is highly relevant. • Ability to work effectively on night, day, or second shift as required. • Strong attendance and reliability, particularly during the first 90 days of employment. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in automotive assembly or similar high-volume production environments. • Comfort working with conveyor systems and moving racks or heavy products. • Ability to follow detailed customer specifications for banding and packing. • Willingness to learn machine adjustments and collaborate with maintenance staff. • Capability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment that may be hot in summer and cold in winter. • Commitment to following all safety protocols and using required safety equipment. • Flexibility to work until the scheduled plant shutdown in October/November timeframe. • Ability to work night shift or night shift- 12 hour shifts Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vonore, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.98 - $19.48/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
