About this role

Job Title: CNC OperatorJob DescriptionThe CNC Operator runs computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce high-quality parts according to programmed instructions and engineering specifications. This role focuses on operating the machine, monitoring performance, and performing in-process inspections to ensure parts meet precise dimensional and quality standards.Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines in accordance with programmed instructions and production requirements. • Monitor machine performance during production runs and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools, such as calipers, to verify part dimensions and overall quality. • Load raw materials onto the CNC machine safely and accurately. • Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures based on part design and production specifications. • Align and clamp workpieces accurately to ensure proper positioning and consistent results. • Perform machine calibration and testing before starting production to confirm proper setup and operation. • Follow blueprints and machining specifications to ensure parts are produced to exact requirements. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. • Monitor the machining process continuously and document quality checks as required. Essential Skills

• Proven ability to operate CNC machines in a production environment. • Experience monitoring CNC machining processes and making basic adjustments to maintain quality. • Ability to perform quality checks during production using precision measuring tools such as calipers. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining documentation. • Basic understanding of machining principles and CNC operations. • Attention to detail and strong focus on product quality. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a climate-controlled, quiet, and well-lit manufacturing environment. • Comfort working in a role focused on operating CNC machines without responsibility for full machine setup. • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established procedures. • Reliability and consistency in meeting production and quality expectations. • Willingness to work 3rd shift with associated shift premium. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a climate-controlled, well-lit, and very quiet shop, providing a comfortable and focused setting for precision machining work. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Sussex, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
