Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Assembler:Job DescriptionAn Electrical Assembler will perform skilled work in the construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment, apparatus, and fixtures used in industrial applications. We are specifically looking for candidates with low-voltage electrical experience, particularly in 12V and 24V systems. Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, installation, troubleshooting, reading wiring diagrams/schematics, and using electrical testing equipment is required. Experience in automotive, truck, trailer, RV, or similar low-voltage electrical applications would be particularly relevant.Responsibilities
• Install new electrical and electronic equipment according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards. • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and equipment. • Prepare, install, and assemble conduits and wiring through them. • Perform medium voltage switching (600 volts) and operate generators in support of operations. • Read technician diagrams and prints. Accurately maintain, document, and revise diagrams and prints with any changes. • Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul electromechanical, electrical control, lighting, wiring, communications, and solid-state electrical equipment using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools, and equipment. Essential Skills
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience. • Ability to read and interpret schematics. • Experience working with 24V systems. • Proficient written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently with little direction. • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Knowledge of methods, equipment, and materials used in the electrical trade. • General knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Familiarity with applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures. • Understanding of principles of electronic theory as applied to electrical and electronic circuits, wiring, and electrical equipment. • Ability to work from blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches. • Experience with the theory of operation and use of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) units and other computer-based equipment. • Skill in analyzing situations accurately and adopting an effective course of action. • Experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC-based equipment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
