Job Title: Production WorkerJob DescriptionThis role supports a syrup flavoring production facility by working on the bottling line to ensure products are safely and accurately filled, capped, labeled, inspected, and packaged. You will stand for extended periods, handle both glass and plastic bottles, and perform visual quality checks to maintain high production and packaging standards.Responsibilities
• Work on the bottling line to support the filling, capping, labeling, and packing of flavored syrup bottles. • Inspect bottles for correct labels, proper fill levels, overflow of syrup, leaks, and secure capping before packaging. • Handle glass and plastic bottles carefully to prevent damage and maintain product quality. • Lift and move boxes containing full and empty bottles, with weights that can reach up to approximately 75 pounds. • Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure products meet established standards. • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in all production and packaging activities. • Prepare and stack pallets with packaged product in an organized and safe manner. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area in the production facility. • Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of required protective equipment such as hair nets, beard nets, and safety glasses. • Collaborate with team members on the bottling lines to maintain steady production flow and meet output goals. Essential Skills
• At least 2 years of food manufacturing experience, with consideration given to candidates who have a minimum of 1 year of experience. • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly and safely, with comfort handling heavier loads up to approximately 75 pounds. • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment. • Understanding and application of quality control principles in a production setting. • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). • Ability to perform visual inspections for labels, fill levels, leaks, and packaging defects. • Capability to stand on feet for extended periods during shifts. • Basic knowledge of packaging processes, including boxing and palletizing. • Reliability and attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous production experience is strongly preferred. • Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus. • Knowledge of mechanical systems is a plus. • Experience working with pallets and palletizing equipment. • Comfort working with both glass and plastic packaging materials. • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a line-based production environment. Typically, 4 to 10 people work per line, with 4 lines running concurrently. The environment is maintained at room temperature. Team members wear hair nets, beard nets, and safety glasses as part of the standard dress code and safety requirements. Work is performed on your feet for most of the shift, with frequent lifting and handling of boxes and bottles in an active, line-based manufacturing setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA.
