Job Title: Order PullerJob DescriptionThis role is based in a large distribution center that supplies products to retail locations across the Midwest. As an Order Puller, you accurately receive, store, pick, and prepare materials and orders for shipment, ensuring inventory is correctly tracked and products are ready to be delivered on time. Responsibilities • Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and put them away in designated warehouse locations. • Use an RF scanner to track inventory, locate products, and maintain accurate stock records. • Pull and assemble orders that need to be shipped out each day, following work orders and pick lists. • Stock, organize, and palletize orders according to work orders and warehouse procedures. • Use shrink wrap and other packaging materials to secure loaded pallets for shipment. • Work closely with forklift operators to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse. • Perform general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, loading, and material handling as needed. • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area. Essential Skills • At least 6 months of previous manual labor experience in a warehouse, production, or similar environment. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift. • Experience with RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking. • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, loading, and material handling. • Ability to work with pallet jacks and coordinate with forklift operators to move materials. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when pulling and stocking orders. • Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to maintain consistent attendance. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience operating or working around forklifts in a warehouse setting. • Background in order picking, packing, and general warehouse production work. • Comfort working with palletizing and shrink-wrapping processes. • Ability to follow written work orders and adapt to changing daily priorities. • Willingness to learn new warehouse systems and processes. The role involves standing, walking, and performing manual labor tasks throughout the day, using equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, and working alongside forklift operators. The setting is straightforward and production-focused, with a practical, casual warehouse dress code suitable for physical work and adherence to standard safety practices. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux City, IA.
