Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionThis full-time, first-shift Material Handler role supports all aspects of warehouse operations in a climate-controlled electronic manufacturing environment. You will pick and move materials, maintain accurate inventory, and support production teams while working closely with colleagues in a fast-paced, hands-on setting. The position is ideal for a punctual, communicative, diligent, and detail-oriented individual who enjoys physical work and collaborating with a team. Responsibilities • Regularly lift and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more throughout the shift. • Fulfill production orders from the main warehouse location, ensuring timely and accurate order picking. • Pick and deliver parts as requested to various departments and buildings. • Identify and label materials clearly and record proper warehouse locations to maintain accurate inventory levels. • Replenish primary stock locations to ensure materials are available for production and other operations. • Perform and report inventory cycle counts to support inventory accuracy and control. • Complete daily mail runs between buildings as needed. • Conduct light housekeeping and basic maintenance in warehouse areas to maintain a clean and safe workspace. • Handle and prepare crates for finished assembled product. • Use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and rolling ladders to move and access materials, including climbing ladders up to 14 feet. • Pick orders by hand with minimal reliance on computer systems or MRP tools. • Utilize RF scanners and basic computer functions as required for inventory and order processing. Essential Skills • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time in a warehouse environment. • Capability to squat, bend, kneel, reach overhead, and reach forward as part of daily tasks. • Experience operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, is strongly preferred. • Comfort climbing rolling ladders up to 14 feet to access materials stored at height. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors. • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet production needs. • Basic computer skills, including email use and typing, to support warehouse documentation and communication. • Self-motivated, energetic, and agile approach to work, with the ability to stay productive with minimal supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is helpful. • Knowledge of Oracle-based systems, including Oracle and Oracle PeopleSoft, is a plus. • Familiarity with SAP, SAP ERP, and SAP systems is beneficial. • Experience with RF scanners for order picking and inventory management is advantageous. • Background in material handling, order pulling, picking, packing, and pallet jack operation is preferred. • Temp-to-hire opportunity for individuals seeking long-term employment in warehouse and electronic manufacturing operations. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a climate-controlled electronic manufacturing warehouse operating on a first shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The environment is hands-on and fast-paced, with most work focused on physically picking and moving orders rather than extensive computer use or MRP systems. You will work around electronic components and finished products, using pallet jacks, RF scanners, and rolling ladders to access materials stored at various heights. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and safety, with light housekeeping duties helping maintain an orderly workspace. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.
