GPS Dozer Operators Needed Immediately Pay: $28-$40/hr Location: Greenville, SCJob DescriptionThe Heavy Equipment Operator safely operates excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and other earthmoving equipment to support environmental remediation, hazardous material cleanup, industrial demolition, spill response, and site restoration projects. This role focuses on work at contaminated sites, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, landfills, and environmental cleanup projects that require the careful handling and removal of contaminated soils and materials. The position is ideal for an operator with extensive experience on excavators and dozers, a strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements, and the ability to work effectively in challenging environmental conditions, including projects that utilize GPS machine control systems.Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with project plans and safety protocols. • Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site restoration activities to meet project specifications and quality standards. • Excavate and remove contaminated soil and hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations and project requirements. • Construct containment berms, access roads, and temporary remediation structures to support environmental cleanup and site stabilization. • Assist with demolition and removal of contaminated structures, foundations, tanks, and industrial equipment as part of remediation and demolition projects. • Load trucks with contaminated materials, soil, debris, sludge, and waste for proper transportation and disposal. • Support environmental cleanup and remediation projects involving hazardous materials, petroleum releases, and industrial contamination. • Work alongside environmental technicians and project managers during spill response activities, following established emergency response procedures. • Remove and transport contaminated soil, debris, sludge, and waste materials from project sites to designated disposal or treatment facilities. • Assist with landfill closure activities, brownfield redevelopment, and site restoration projects to return sites to safe and compliant conditions. • Support emergency response projects that require rapid deployment, site stabilization, and safe operation of heavy equipment in dynamic conditions. • Operate GPS-guided equipment and machine control systems, such as Trimble and Topcon, to achieve precise excavation and grading specifications. • Utilize electronic grade control systems for excavation, grading, and earthmoving activities to maintain accurate elevations and slopes. • Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, remediation drawings, and project layouts to execute work accurately. • Verify excavation depths, elevations, and grading tolerances using GPS and other measurement tools to ensure compliance with project designs. • Maintain a strong focus on jobsite safety, including adherence to OSHA standards, HAZWOPER requirements, and company safety policies. • Coordinate equipment movements and tasks with project managers, environmental technicians, and other crew members to optimize productivity and safety. • Perform basic equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues to ensure reliable and safe operation of all machinery. Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience operating excavators and dozers on construction, industrial, or remediation projects. • Proven experience working on environmental remediation, industrial, heavy civil, or contaminated soil projects. • Strong proficiency in heavy equipment operation, including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, and related machinery. • Demonstrated ability to excavate and handle contaminated soils and hazardous materials safely and in accordance with regulations. • Experience supporting hazardous waste or environmental remediation projects, including spill response and site restoration. • Understanding of jobsite safety requirements and adherence to OSHA standards and safe work practices. • Ability to read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, remediation drawings, and project layouts. • Experience verifying excavation depths, elevations, and grading tolerances to meet project specifications. • GPS machine control experience preferred, including use of systems such as Trimble, Topcon, or similar equipment. • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. • HAZWOPER 40-hour Certification. • Experience working on industrial or refinery projects involving contaminated materials. • Experience with contaminated soil excavation on environmental or heavy civil projects. • Background in heavy civil construction, including earthwork and grading operations. • CDL Class A license for operating and transporting heavy equipment and materials, where required. • Confined Space Training for work in restricted or enclosed environments when necessary. • Hands-on experience with GPS machine control systems such as Trimble, Topcon, or comparable technologies for precise grading and excavation. • Familiarity with electronic grade control systems and GPS-guided heavy equipment operation. • Experience in demolition and removal of industrial structures, foundations, tanks, and contaminated equipment. • Knowledge of hazardous material handling, hazardous waste management, and environmental remediation best practices. • Experience supporting landfill closures, brownfield redevelopment, and complex site restoration projects. • Ability to work effectively on industrial, refinery, and manufacturing facility sites with strict safety and environmental requirements. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with project managers, environmental technicians, and field crews. • Ability to respond quickly to emergency spill response and site stabilization needs while maintaining safety and quality. • Solid understanding of heavy equipment capabilities and limitations in challenging environmental and site conditions.
