About this role

Job Title: Repair TechnicianThe Repair Technician (Service Technician I) supports the repair, testing, and maintenance of specialized equipment used in medical environments. In this role, you diagnose technical issues, perform repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensure devices are returned to safe, reliable working condition. You document all service activities thoroughly and collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality, timely service while meeting established productivity and quality standards.Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair designated products and equipment used in medical environments. • Perform electronic component replacement, soldering, and functional testing as needed to restore proper operation. • Conduct preventive maintenance activities to help ensure long-term reliability and performance of equipment. • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and repair documentation to guide repair and assembly work. • Assemble, disassemble, and reassemble equipment and components using appropriate mechanical and electrical techniques. • Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic instruments safely and effectively during repair and testing. • Communicate with customers to gather detailed information related to service and repair requests and provide status updates as appropriate. • Accurately complete repair records, service documentation, and other required paperwork in company systems. • Follow established procedures, quality standards, and pricing guidelines throughout the repair process. • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace, properly caring for tools, equipment, and test instruments. • Collaborate with coworkers and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and support overall service operations. • Support additional service-related tasks and projects as assigned by leadership, contributing to continuous improvement efforts. • Utilize Microsoft Office, databases, and computer-based systems to manage work orders, documentation, and communication. • Adhere to safety practices and guidelines when lifting, moving, and handling equipment and components. • Demonstrate a commitment to learning new products, technologies, and processes to expand technical capabilities over time. Essential Skills

• Basic understanding of electronic systems, circuits, and components. • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and repair documentation. • Hands-on experience using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic instruments. • Strong troubleshooting skills for both electrical and mechanical issues. • Ability to perform assembly, disassembly, and repair of equipment and components. • Comfort using Microsoft Office, databases, and other computer-based systems. • Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete accurate repair records and documentation. • Organized and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple service priorities effectively. • Demonstrated commitment to quality standards and safe work practices. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new products, technologies, and processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. • Technical training or certification in electronics, electrical technology, or a related discipline preferred. • Prior experience repairing electronics, medical devices, industrial equipment, or similar products is beneficial but not required. • Ability to interpret and work from schematic diagrams and technical manuals. • Comfort working in a manufacturing, repair, or service environment. • Capability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds safely. • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary. • Willingness to travel occasionally based on business needs.
