Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionThis role works in a modern production facility manufacturing cross-laminated timber products. You operate hand tools, forklifts, and various equipment and machines to support efficient, high-quality production while maintaining a safe and clean work area.Responsibilities
• Operate hand tools, production equipment, and machinery used in the manufacture of cross-laminated timber. • Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials and finished products within the facility. • Handle and work with wood materials throughout the production process, including lumber and timber components. • Follow established production procedures and quality standards to ensure consistent, high-quality output. • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the large lumber mill environment. • Adhere to all safety guidelines and use equipment properly to prevent accidents and injuries. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and schedules. • Participate in training and skill development activities to improve performance and learn new tasks. Essential Skills
• Experience in production, general labor, or similar hands-on work environment. • Ability to safely operate hand tools and basic production equipment. • Comfort working with wood materials in a lumber mill or similar setting. • Forklift operation experience or ability to learn forklift operation. • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Prior mill or lumber experience is a significant plus. • Experience working in a lumber yard or lumber mill is an advantage. • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
