Job Title: Senior Mechanical & Robotics Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role serves as a Senior maintenance technician responsible for leading service technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You play a key role in supporting operations by troubleshooting complex issues, designing effective solutions for difficult problems, and managing maintenance-related projects to ensure reliable and efficient facility performance.Responsibilities

• Lead and guide a team of service technicians in day-to-day maintenance activities for automated packaging and distribution systems. • Install, configure, and commission mechanical and robotics equipment used in automated packaging and distribution operations. • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and robotic components to minimize equipment downtime. • Design and propose solutions for complex maintenance and operational problems, focusing on reliability and efficiency improvements. • Manage maintenance and improvement projects from planning through completion, coordinating tasks, timelines, and resources. • Support the Operations Maintenance team by identifying recurring issues and implementing preventive and corrective actions. • Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with operational standards and maintenance best practices. • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement. • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and support process improvements. • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior technicians to build skills and maintain high-quality work. Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician working with automated packaging and distribution equipment. • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to install, maintain, and repair complex machinery and robotics systems. • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate a team of service technicians in a fast-paced operations environment. • Advanced troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving mechanical and automation-related issues. • Experience supporting operations maintenance teams and contributing to equipment reliability and uptime. • Ability to design practical solutions for difficult technical problems and implement them effectively. • Project management capability to plan, organize, and oversee maintenance-related projects. • Solid understanding of safety practices and adherence to maintenance and operational standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in automated distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environments. • Experince in robotics or automation systems supporting packaging and material handling. • Ability to communicate clearly with technicians, operations staff, and cross-functional partners. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects. • Comfort working with documentation and maintenance records to support continuous improvement. You use a variety of tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance documentation systems while collaborating closely with operations and engineering teams Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fredericksburg, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $42.65 - $42.65/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
