About this role

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving ClerkJob DescriptionThe Shipping and Receiving Clerk ensures accurate picking of parts, maintains inventory records in Epicor, and handles all aspects of inbound and outbound shipments. This role prepares items for safe delivery, inspects and receives incoming materials, and supports overall shop operations while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Responsibilities • Pick and stage parts accurately for customer and internal orders. • Maintain inventory levels and records in Epicor, ensuring data is up to date and accurate. • Manage and issue missing parts on jobs when necessary to keep production and orders on schedule. • Prepare items for shipment by selecting appropriate shipping containers, packing items securely, and completing all required paperwork and shipping labels. • Build crates or appropriate shipping containers for units, label them correctly, and ensure they are ready for transport. • Load merchandise onto and into trucks safely and efficiently. • Receive and unload incoming materials, comparing packing slips to purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipments. • Inspect incoming shipments for damage or defects and report or address issues as needed. • Maintain an organized inventory area, ensuring products are stored properly and easily accessible. • Keep the work area clean and safe, following shop standards and safety guidelines. • Dispose of packaging materials, cardboard, and garbage in accordance with facility procedures. • Perform other shop-related tasks as assigned to support operations and workflow. Essential Skills • Experience with inventory, shipping and receiving, logistics, picking, and inventory control. • Ability to use Epicor or similar inventory management systems to maintain accurate records. • Basic shop math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and read a ruler. • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. • Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively. • Manual dexterity to operate various hand and power tools. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with others. • Legal authorization to work in the United States for any employer. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Familiarity with shipping documentation, labels, and carrier requirements. • Experience working in a shop or warehouse environment. • Comfort with physical, hands-on work in a logistics or production setting. • Reliability and strong sense of responsibility for inventory accuracy and shipment quality. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a shop and warehouse setting focused on shipping, receiving, and inventory control. You will work around materials, crates, and shipping containers, using equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and various hand and power tools. The position involves regular lifting and moving of materials up to 50 pounds and requires standing, walking, and handling products throughout the shift. You will work with Epicor or similar systems to manage inventory and shipping information. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and safety, with expectations to keep the work area organized and free of excess packaging and waste. Typical attire is appropriate for a shop and warehouse environment, suitable for hands-on material handling and equipment operation. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Richfield, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
