What You'll Do As the Manufacturing Team Lead, you'll be responsible for the complete mechanical and electrical assembly of custom equipment while supporting the day-to-day success of the production floor. Key Responsibilities
• Lead the complete electro-mechanical assembly of equipment from start to finish. • Build and wire control panels, including PLCs and drives (programming not required). • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings. • Assemble conveyors, install motors, panel boards, and electrical components. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues throughout the build process. • Support multiple production lines and provide technical guidance when challenges arise. • Perform quality inspections and ensure all products meet established specifications. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, quality, and productivity. • Train and mentor team members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices. • Utilize Microsoft Office and production software to document builds and track production activities. • Communicate project updates, challenges, and improvement opportunities with leadership. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience. • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints. • Experience building, wiring, and assembling industrial equipment. • Proficiency using hand and power tools. • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment. • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Excel, and learning new software systems. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. • Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented culture. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building control panels and working with PLC-based equipment. • Prior leadership, mentoring, or lead technician experience. • Knowledge of quality control and inspection procedures. • Experience supporting process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives. • Familiarity with production line operation and workflow management. • Brand-new, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. • Clean, organized, and modern production environment. • Standard schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. • Flexible start-time accommodations available when needed. • Hands-on role involving mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and production support. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
