Aerotek is Hiring Machine Operators in North Haven, Connecticut Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionThe Production Associate is responsible for managing operations and the people associated with the safe manufacturing of metal E Rings. This role requires the use of standard measuring devices and gauges, as well as the ability to safely operate all manufacturing equipment involved in the process.Responsibilities
• Manufacture metal E-Rings according to documentation and procedures. • Safely operate Planish Press, Belt Sander, Roll Form Machines, Polish Equipment, and Hydraulic Presses to manufacture completed parts. • Read and interpret work instructions. • Communicate with others on work order status and completion of work. • Perform assembly and inspection. • Move around to different departments as needed. Essential Skills
• Machine operation and assembly skills. • Inspection skills. • Mechanical inclination. • Supervisory experience. • Computer skills. • Ability to read and write English. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma. • Basic math skills. • Must be able to lift 25 pounds. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to use a computer. • Production Associates work alongside other E Ring Associates, Manufacturing Leads, and Manufacturing Support. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager. Employees are required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate machines and computers, with specific vision abilities including close vision. Regular attendance and the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others are expected. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Haven, CT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
