Job Title: KitterJob DescriptionThe Kitter conducts accurate inventory counts on parts, tracks quantities sent out, and supports shipping and receiving activities. This role focuses on inventory control, cycle counting, data entry, and material handling to ensure parts are correctly picked, packed, and documented. Responsibilities • Conduct regular inventory counts on parts and maintain accurate records. • Keep precise count of parts sent out and ensure documentation is complete and up to date. • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including preparing and processing outgoing and incoming materials. • Perform cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies. • Carry out inventory control tasks to maintain proper stock levels and organization. • Pick and pack parts and materials according to work orders and shipment requirements. • Use computer systems to enter, update, and retrieve inventory and shipping data. • Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving items as needed. • Operate RF scanners to track inventory movement and confirm transactions. • Support packaging activities to ensure parts are properly packed and labeled for shipment. • Follow established procedures and standards to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and safety in all tasks. Essential Skills • Proven experience with cycle counting in an inventory or warehouse environment. • Hands-on experience with inventory control processes and procedures. • Ability to perform accurate data entry using computer systems. • Experience with picking and packing orders in a warehouse or distribution setting. • Material handling skills, including safely moving and organizing parts and products. • Ability to use RF scanners for inventory tracking and verification. • Basic computer literacy for inventory, shipping, and receiving tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience assisting shipping and receiving operations. • Familiarity with packaging standards and labeling requirements. • Ability to operate a forklift safely, if required by the facility. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recordkeeping. • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain orderly inventory areas. • Reliability and consistency in following procedures and meeting daily workload demands. Dress code typically aligns with standard warehouse attire suitable for physical work and safe material handling. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
