Department Summary:
L582 contains MITRE Enterprise Program and Risk Management thought leaders. The department is composed of recognized subject matter experts, who are proficient in a suite of program and risk management skills including: project planning and execution, leading people, project communications, scope management employing Agile, establishing program metrics, and more. The Enterprise Program & Risk Management department provides support across a wide range of MITRE portfolios, employing ~ 50 highly qualified and experienced staff.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Project leadership for MITRE projects • Applying project management expertise for MITRE sponsors • End-to-end project planning • Development and implementation of project management processes • Implementation and maintenance of project schedules • Implementation and maintenance of project risk management • Research associated with specific project requirements • Project communications and reporting (includes generation of project periodic reports) • Management of project artifacts • Application of artificial intelligence (AI) approaches to project management
Basic Qualifications:
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of related experience • Basic knowledge of project, program and risk management as would be evident by a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification. • Experience in the application of AI tools • Specific experience in one or more project management domain (e.g., risk management, change control, schedule management, project reporting, quality management) • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI U.S Government issued Security Clearance. Per the U.S. Government’s eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance. • This position requires a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Specific project management experience • PMBOK Knowledge • Task leadership or other supervisory experience
