Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for an Azure Platform Engineer for one of our partners, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services.
This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.
Responsibilities:
Lead your teams as they design, develop, and maintain platforms using Azure services, adhering to best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.Design and deploy Windows and Linux servers following infrastructure as code and modern DevSecOps practicesUse configuration management tooling to automate the deployment and configuration of third-party software productsDesign, deploy and administer Container Orchestration environments following infrastructure as code and modern DevSecOps practicesDesign, deploy and maintain Container based solutionsLead other platform engineers, providing guidance and mentoring to help others improve their skills.Measure your team performance against industry benchmarksPeer review code, ensuring it is of high quality, well-structured, and maintainable.Lead a community of like-minded engineers to ensure we learn from one another and continuously improve our practicesRequirements
6+ Years of experience is required.Expert designing and building secure platforms on Azure using well architected frameworkExpert with Infrastructure as Code tooling (e.g. Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi) Expert with Configuration Management tooling (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef) Expert with setting up and administering Container Orchestration systems (e.g. EKS, AKS, OpenShift) Expert with Container technologies (e.g. Helm, Harbour) Expert with Build & Release Automation (e.g. Jenkins, ArgoCD, Flux, SonarQube) Expert with Coding Languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Powershell, Go) Expert working with distributed source control solutions and following best practices e.g. Git, branching, pull requests Expert in building products using enterprise integration patterns and practices (like event-driven architectures)Must have Azure Solution Architect certification
Desirable Technical Skills:
Experience with Cloud Networking Experience administering Operating Systems Experience setting up and administering observability tooling Experience of Agile and Product based Delivery Experience of good coding patterns & practices
