Job Title: Customer Support Representative – Pharmacy Operations (Registered Pharmacy Technician) Job Description We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients, providers, and internal teams, assisting with prescription refills, delivery coordination, insurance inquiries, and payment processing.The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, experience navigating insurance and prior authorization processes, and the ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with patients. Success in this role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience while ensuring pharmacy operations run efficiently.Important: Candidates must be available to attend mandatory onsite training in Cary, NC, Monday through Friday, before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for inbound telephone calls, handling non-clinical inquiries including prescription status updates, payment questions, and general pharmacy support. • Manage inbound and outbound calls related to medication refills, delivery scheduling, and payment coordination. • Provide timely and accurate information to patients, providers, and clients while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. • Document all interactions accurately within pharmacy management systems and maintain complete patient records. • Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries, including benefits verification, coverage questions, and prescription status updates. • Support prescription processing by collaborating with pharmacy operations, reimbursement, and insurance teams. • Utilize knowledge of prior authorization workflows to assist with medication access and insurance-related issues. • Escalate clinical questions and concerns to pharmacists, nurses, or other appropriate clinical staff. • Identify and report adverse events and product complaints according to established procedures. • Perform data entry related to prescriptions, insurance information, and patient communications with a high degree of accuracy. • Utilize Microsoft Office applications and pharmacy management systems to support daily workflow and documentation requirements. • Maintain professional, empathetic, and effective communication with patients and caregivers. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Pharmacy Technician Registration required. • Experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, specialty pharmacy, medical office, or customer service environment. • Experience with prior authorizations, insurance verification, benefits investigation, claims processing, or medication access support. • Strong understanding of insurance and reimbursement processes. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls while maintaining professionalism and accuracy. • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic customer service and build rapport with patients. Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred but not required. • Retail pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, or pharmacy operations experience. • Experience working with pharmacy claims, insurance verification, and reimbursement processes. • Knowledge of medical terminology. • Experience working in a call center or high-volume customer service environment. • Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and healthcare technology platforms. • Data entry experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance setting. Work Environment This is a hybrid position based in Cary, NC. Mandatory Onsite Training

• Training is conducted 100% onsite in Cary, NC. • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST. • Attendance during the onsite training period is required. Hybrid Schedule After Training

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST. • Typically 2 days onsite and 3 days remote per week. This role operates in a collaborative pharmacy operations environment and requires frequent interaction with patients, providers, insurance partners, pharmacists, and internal support teams. The setting is fast-paced and team-oriented, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cary, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
