Rockstar is recruiting on behalf of a client that is building an AI-native operating system for wealth management. This client enables Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) to deliver holistic financial advice through a single platform. With over 45 RIAs signed and a growing Annual Recurring Revenue, the client is scaling to serve millions of next-generation investors.
The Role
Lead the engineering team through a critical 90-day transformation. The role involves architecting and building the unified Clients tab in Weave, which serves as the foundation that ties together planning, portfolio data, files, and communication. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring system design, coding, team coordination, and the establishment of engineering practices.

- Backend: Python, FastAPI, Pydantic v2, Golang (Future)
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, React Native (Expo)
- Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CDK)
- Integrations: Apex Ascend API (official Python SDK), Plaid, Stripe
- AI/ML: GPT-4, Claude, LangGraph
- Future: Golang microservices for performance-critical services
Requirements
- 10+ years full-stack development experience, including 2+ years in fintech
- Highly autonomous: owns architecture and decisions end-to-end, while communicating clearly and keeping everyone aligned
- Strong skills in Python, Golang, React, and AWS serverless
- Experience in system design and architecture
- Experience leading small engineering teams (2-5 engineers)
- Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
