About this role
We are looking for an inspiring, resilient, and compassionate PE Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging physical education that supports the physical development, emotional wellbeing, and social skills of pupils with SEMH/ASD needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Promote physical health, emotional wellbeing, and positive engagement.
• Ensure safe practice and effective risk management in all physical activities.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to engage learners with SEMH needs.
• Support positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches.
• Work collaboratively with staff to provide a holistic approach.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews.
• Organise extracurricular sports and enrichment opportunities.
Key Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching PE within a school setting.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Passion for supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional development.
