Role Overview The SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) Technology Engineer will be responsible for designing and building the MDG solution. You will collaborate across all levels of organization, from senior management to tactical execution- to understand master data management needs and improvements.

Working in a matrixed environment, you will support all aspects of the design, development, training and delivery of easy-to-use data & process capabilities to Get Data Clean and Keep Data Clean. You will cultivate an environment that generates innovative ideas, and you will execute them in partnership with internal business partners, data stewards, IT colleagues, and outside vendors. You will standardize key performance indicators, automate insight generation, and deliver relevant, meaningful recommendations.

The insights will provide better visibility to our asset and finance master data business processes and IT systems landscape, as well as identifying root causes to improve data quality and process resiliency.

What will you do in this role

• Assist in the implementation and support of SAP MDG solutions, including design, configuration and testing.

• Provide functional expertise and participate in design activities and a gap analysis prior to the implementation.

• Responsible for finishing the tasks assigned and for interacting with business users/functional leads for requirement gathering and providing timely updates on progress made.

• Visualize the master data quality and analyzing results, using statistical techniques where possible/needed.

• Collaborate with business, platform, data enablement, and IT teams to standardize SAP MDG solution and cross-train teams to use them.

Your Daily Activities include, but are not limited to:

• Management - Responsible for design and implementation of strategic, aligned, and compliant solutions to support business initiatives. Support management vision, strategy, and policy for building a high-performance engagement model with business partners.

• Process and Insight - Realize core sustainable processes and enablers of successful delivery. Practice and foster a mindset of leveraging analytics to gain insights and for data-focused decision making.

• Relationships - Build exceptional relationships with stakeholders which are focused on meeting the business needs and most value for investments.

• Organizational Change Management – Demonstrate and drive high quality change management practices with clients and stakeholders while implementing solutions that are sustainable. Be a role model of management capabilities and behaviors.

• Global - Ensure that the solutions are aligned IT platforms and supports business strategy.

• Diversity - Respect diversity on teams, different perspectives, ideas, knowledge while working towards a common goal.

What should you have

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline

Required Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in SAP MDG techno-functional roles.

• MDG Expertise: Hands-on experience in SAP MDG-M (Material Master) with at least two end-to-end implementations.

• S/4HANA & MDG: Strong experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA, including master data setup and governance.

• Integration: Proven experience in inbound/outbound integrations using IDOCs, SOA services, and interfaces.

• Data Modeling & UI: Ability to design and enhance custom data models, UI configurations, validations, and derivations.

• Workflow & Rules: Strong working knowledge of SAP Workflow, BRF+, and BADIs.

• Data Management: Expertise in data replication, MDG error handling, and governance processes.

• Functional Knowledge: Good understanding of Materials Management (MM) processes.

• Technical Depth: In-depth understanding of SAP MDG architecture (technical and functional).

• System Landscape: Experience in highly customized SAP environments and integration with non-SAP systems.
