Unit Manager
Position Description: Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions: • Responsible for ePAF generation, labor distributions, staff recruitment (as needed), and contract updates. • Maintain Accurate reporting for TCMHCC Projects; research, organize and provide referral information related to the CPAN program participants in accordance with the findings of the staff and treatment team. • Provides support to the TCMHCC Projects in the Department of Psychiatry. • Plans coordinates personnel management functions for the Department. Supervision of assigned staff. • Manage contracts for the Department of Psychiatry and or TCMHCC projects from partnership inception through execution, and completion. • Assists in monitoring purchase orders, travel, and credit card charges for the TCMHCC Projects while adhering to TTUHSC policy requirements. • Serves as back up to the department purchasing coordinator. • Administer and submit staff evaluations forms and implementation of institutional disciplinary process as needed. • Completes special assignments with latitude to exercise independent judgment. • Assists with planning and implementation, as required. • Other duties as requested by department for the development of current and new projects. • Coordinates, prioritizes, and schedules routine and emergency appointments in person and virtual. • Answers phones. Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence and tracks status of all correspondence. • Draft, proof, edit correspondence, independently for understandability, grammar, punctuation and spelling, replies to correspondence as assigned. • Remain current with all licensure, certifications, and mandatory compliance and training requirements for this position. • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.). • Personally, and consistently, demonstrate, display and act in accordance with Texas Tech Health El Paso’s Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Preferred Qualifications: • Bilingual. • Experience working in the academic medical field with academic clinical experience strongly preferred.
Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree plus three years supervisory experience; OR • Combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal seven years.
