We are currently seeking to recruit 2: Junior professionals for the Green Transition & Climate Services to join a 6-months traineeship program to enhance our Green Transition & Climate Services team in Belgium.

Your role We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Green Transition Trainee to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the development of climate services and the preparation of competitive proposals for EU service contracts and their implementation.
Get ready to dive into a diverse range of tasks! As a junior professional, your role includes: • Researching and analysing project background information in our core sectors of activities. • Undertake business intelligence research, preparation of synthesis and reports. Stay aware of activities of the European Commission, particularly its Executive Agencies (CINEA, REA, etc.). • Contribute to the preparation of technical and financial proposals, including consortium coordination and bid writing and ensure compliance with EU guidelines and tender specifications. • Support EU-funded projects, ensuring timely delivery of outputs, compliance with contractual obligations, and achievement of sustainability goals. Liaise with project experts and project partners on day-to-day management of the tender process. • Support the Stantec recruitment team in identifying external consultants, preparing CVs, and related administrative documents.
Qualifications: • Academic background: BA or MA in International Relations, Economy, Political Science, Environment, Energy and other related fields. • Knowledge of the European Union, the EU Green Deal, Fit for 55, Climate Adaptation Strategy, Sustainable agriculture and related frameworks would be an asset. • Professional/Academic experience in the field of environment/energy/climate change or in a similar technical assistance environment would be considered as an asset. • Languages: solid written and spoken English. • IT-skills: advanced use of MS Office. • Multitask personality, rigorous, accuracy and attention to detail, with a dynamic work ethic approach. • Strategic thinker with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment. • Passion for sustainability and climate action.
