BAE Systems' Model Based Engineering Capability Group (MBE CG) is on a mission to transform the industry with cutting-edge Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices. We're seeking a visionary MBSE expert to join our team and help propel this revolution forward.
As a key player in our MBE CG, you'll be responsible for championing the implementation of Agile-MBSE best practices, empowering programs across the ES Sector with the latest MBSE training and providing technical guidance on model development and process implementation. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our transition to a Digital Enterprise (DE), where virtual and cloud-based networks are redefining the boundaries of traditional engineering.
This role’s responsibilities will require you:
• Utilize your knowledge of MBSE processes, practices, tools, and related modeling languages and frameworks (e.g. SysML, UML, UAF) to solve complex technical problems
• Guide a program in their total MBSE development activities
• Collaborate with project teams and leadership to contribute to the development of MBSE training materials and company best practices

Required Skills and Education: • Active Secret Security Clearance • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field and 6+ years experience in Systems Engineering or Masters Degree in STEM field and 4+ years experience in Systems Engineering. • 2+ years of experience building models and developing modeling strategies using MBSE methodologies, tools, and best practices • Strong technical skills in MBSE, including: • Experience with MagicDraw/Cameo and associated plug-ins • Proficiency in UML, SysML, and other relevant modeling languages and frameworks • Ability to create specialized searches, and analyze problems through MBSE models • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements • Ability to contribute to the development of MBSE training materials, best practices, and processes, and guide programs in their total MBSE development activities.
Preferred Skills and Education: • Experience in developing / supporting digital engineering solutions and technologies • Directly built 2-4 full scale models including parametric functions and simulation execution • Experience in Agile software development methodologies and task management tools (e.g. Jira) • Experienced in Modeling, Simulation, Visualization and Analysis (MSVA) • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) • Familiar with Government Reference Architectures (GRAs) • Experience supporting all phases of the engineering product development lifecycle • Classroom and on-the-job teaching experience • Training material development • EW Experience
