In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions, we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability.
We are seeking a P2L Engineer to join our emerging‑technology and development programs. Focusing on affordability and producibility activities early in the design process, the P2L Engineer will help drive technology trends into our factories to maximize design flexibility, manufacturability, and lower overall product costs.
Core Responsibilities Include:
• Drives producible product architecture early in the product life cycle providing a “Left Shift” mentality to engage DFM, DFT and Design to target cost compliance.
• Responsible Engineer for providing P2L Capability Group design expertise on hardware products including participation in all internal design reviews and architecture review boards
• Leads the AS9145 Manufacturing Feasibility Assessment (MFA) and supports the APQP Risk Assessment (ARA).
• Leads the Design to Unit Production Cost (DTUPC) assessment and cost burndown plan to drive designs to converge on target cost
• Evaluates the manufacturability and testability of program hardware utilizing applicable Producibility Indexes, the Operations Rules Documents and collaboration with the supporting factories.
• Develops Hardware Process Flow Diagrams during design phases in collaboration with Process Engineering.
• Collaborates on Make/Buy decisions consistent with the Manufacturing Realization Strategy and Factory Capability Matrix
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Skills and Education: • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering with experience in Engineering and Manufacturing principles • Practical understanding of product development and the product development lifecycle • Capable of leading product producibility efforts on Hardware development programs • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance • Experience with antenna hardware design, manufacturing, and test • Familiarity with antenna supplier base and manufacturing capabilities
Preferred Skills and Education: • Active Secret Security Clearance highly preferred
• Background in product affordability management
• Background in product development, DFM, DFT, New Product Introduction
• Practical understanding and ability to create affordability plans and reports
• Familiarity with composites manufacturing
• Familiarity with AS9145 application
