We are looking for a talented Senior Level Software engineer to support analyzing, developing, and coding complex software for Pointer Tracking algorithms. You will be an integrated team member, collaborating with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Requirements Development, Design, Development, Integration and Testing. You will prepare design and project documentation intended to be used within complex programs or across sets of programs in accordance with established processes.

• Developing pointer track software for classified programs. • Duties include analyzing, designing, coding and code modification (typically in C++ and Python) of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems or subsystems of larger systems. • Evaluate complex software designs to identify design flaws. • Prepare design documentation, in accordance with established processes. • Utilize a Linux based software development environment. Embedded targets could range from ARM through high performance x86-64 CPUs and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). You will be integrating and testing in the selected target test environments. • You may participate in external project interactions with other companies. • Subject matter expertise in Pointer Tracker software.

Required Skills and Education: • Active Secret Clearance • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a computer related field with at least 4 years of experience • Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation • Extensive background in embedded software development • Experience using scripting languages, such as Python • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills that translate to working software • Proficient with source code control tools
Preferred Skills and Education: • Computer Engineering experience • Experience with Modern C++ is a plus • Experience developing Pointer Tracker or Gimbal software • Experience with Control Algorithm Development • Experience with Real-time Embedded Software Development • Experience working with Hardware and Systems Engineers • Experience with Agile Development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines • Experience developing on Windows/Linux Operating Systems • Experience using software tools like Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, GitLab • Experience with Containers including Docker, Podman or Kubernetes • Software automated test development and execution
