At GrabFin, we empower the people of Southeast Asia by ensuring financial inclusion for the underserved. The Insurance Operations PST in Malaysia supports Insurance Products and owns Accounting, Reports, Internal Tools, and Third-Party Integration domains.
Get to Know the Role
You will report to the Engineering Manager, Insurance Operations, based in Malaysia and develop internal tools, reporting dashboards, and operational applications. You will work across the stack, building both frontend and backend components. We're looking for candidates that embody ownership, display a hunger for learning and improvement, and excel in autonomy.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Develop high-quality and scalable backend services within a microservices architectureDesign, develop, and maintain user-friendly frontend web applications using ReactBuild internal tools and reporting dashboards for Insurance Operations teamWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable codeCollaborate with diverse teams to design and ship new featuresParticipate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledgeContribute to architectural decisions and technical directionParticipate in On-Call rotations to ensure service reliability What Essential Skills You Will Need
4+ years of relevant experience in software developmentProficiency in building frontend web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactProficiency in backend programming languages (Java/Go or Node.js)Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and GitHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS)Experience with clean architecture principles and SOLID principles
