Position Description
The position of Finance & Insurance Manager consists of ensuring production of revenue for the dealership through sales of finance and insurance programs to new and used car and truck customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Sell finance and credit life, accident and health insurance to customers. * Establish business contacts with financial sources and factory credit divisions. * Coordinate approval from financial sources and factory credit divisions. *Provide sales incentives for finance and insurance* * Train salesperson to sell financing * Establish finance forecasting in conjunction with sales department forecasting to achieve a desire percent of penetration. * Attend managers' meetings. * Arrange for insurance companies for insurance paper. * Maintain insurance files. * Acquire necessary licenses for selling insurance on approval of General Manager. *Prepare monthly penetration reports on finance penetration and submit to General Manager.* * Ensure correct title, lien information, taxes etc., on all transaction document. *Provide all rate questions.* * Oversee collection of finance and insurance fees.Qualifications * High school diploma. * Ability to read and understand directions. * College Degree or commensurate experience in area of finance. * 1 year minimum prior F & I experience. * Understanding of dealership finance and insurance procedures. * Familiarity with dealership computer system. * Excellent communication skills.
