Cook Construction is looking for an *experienced Heavy Equipment Operator* to join our team.
If you've spent years in the cab, know how to run equipment properly, take pride in doing a good job, and want to work with a solid crew, *we want to hear from you.*
This is a hands-on construction job for someone who knows the work and doesn't need to be told how to operate a machine.
*What You'll Be Doing*
* Operating heavy equipment such as *excavators, dozers, loaders, and other construction equipment* * Performing excavation, grading, site preparation, and other construction work * Loading, moving, and placing materials safely and efficiently * Working around other operators, labourers, trucks, and construction crews * Performing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance * Keeping equipment clean and reporting mechanical issues when they arise * Following job-site safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment * Working outdoors in changing weather and job-site conditions * Helping the crew get the job done safely, efficiently, and on schedule
*What We're Looking For*
*You should have:*
* *8+ years of heavy equipment operating experience* * *Class 3 Driver's license *or Class 1 (not needed but beneficial) * Strong experience operating construction equipment * Experience with *excavators, dozers, loaders, and/or similar equipment* * A valid driver's licence * Good understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety * Ability to read the job site and work independently * Strong work ethic and dependable attendance * Ability to work as part of a team * A safety-first attitude * Willingness to work in all types of weather and job-site conditions
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
