Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Manufacture. Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. Type of materials: Aluminum alloys. Steel, iron and heavy metals. Welding techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG). MIG. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation.
