Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment.
