About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nursing Associate to join the Salford Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service on a 0.8 WTE fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. Flexible working arrangements can be considered, with the service operating Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.

This community-based role focuses on improving the physical health outcomes of people experiencing a first episode of psychosis through health screening, monitoring, health promotion, and physical health interventions. The successful applicant will join a high-performing, friendly and diverse multidisciplinary team, with access to comprehensive training, supervision, and support to develop within the role.

Main duties of the job

Completing physical health checks within both clinic and home visit settings, supporting the nursing and medical teams with bloods, ECG's, depots (if trained), and other checks and tests as identified by the MDT.

Qualifications Essential

Qualified and appropriately registered nursing practitioner

Experience Essential

Experience of completing physical health checks as required within JD

Desirable

Experience gained within NHS setting

Skills Essential

Experience of working with and engaging patients under a mental health service
