Job summary
The Cath Lab Manager post is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership of the Cardiac Catheter Laboratories (Cath Labs) at Salisbury NHS Trust.
The post holder will be working with a multidisciplinary workforce of Cardiologists, Physiologists, Radiographers and Administrators. Working in partnership with the Senior Managers across the multidisciplinary team within the Cath labs, and taking responsibility for the utilisation of the Cath Labs, as well as Administrative Line Management. The post holder will play a significant role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Cath Lab, delivering high-quality patient care, and driving continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and processes.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for and accountable for the day-to-day management/oversight of the Cath Labs and provide leadership within the department, ensuring compliance against standard operating procedures and performance metrics. A multidisciplinary approach will be taken towards management, working alongside senior nursing and medic colleagues. This role will look to develop and implementation of relevant Trust guidelines, training programmes for staff, and ensuring the continued development and educational opportunities for staff within the Cath Labs. The post holder will have responsibilities for service development, ensuring delivery of highly effective and efficient service. This will include development and implementation of strategies to create new ways of inter-professional working through innovation and best practice.
