About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Outpatient Reception team to be based at QEQM Hospital Margate.

Our team are focused on service delivery and patient care and we are looking for an individual who is self motivated with a genuine desire to give gold standard care at every level.

The successful applicants will be joining a highly motivated and effective team who strive to ensure patient care is at the forefront of our service.

Main duties of the job

This post may support one or more team(s) (these could be Medical or non Medical staff). The focus of this role will include front line contact with members of the public, keyboard skills, data inputting and frequent use of display screen equipment.

Personal & PRofessional Attributes Essential

Experience of or awareness of a range of work practices in an office setting and in dealing with customers. Experience of having been part of a team.

Desirable

Relevant previous NHS experience. Previous experience of working within a busy environment.

Skills & Experience Essential

Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to multi-task. Standard/good keyboard skills Ability to interact with colleagues and other stakeholders courteously Good interpersonal skills Accuracy - pays attention to detail Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to meet set deadlines.

Desirable

Experience of working in a customer service environment Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Governance Essential

To adhere to Governance within the Trust to report as per Trust Guidelines

Desirable

Knowledge of Datix reporting

Qualifications Essential

Basic numeracy & literacy Educated to GCSE level with A-C grades in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications

Desirable

Customer services training. Has gained or is willing to work towards NVQ 2 training
