NHS Band 3:£25,760 - £27,476 pro rata per annum

Hours Per Week: 22.5 part time

Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for an Ultrasound Radiographic Assistant who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards "great people, great place".

Radiographic Assistants are active members of the Diagnostic Imaging team, assisting the Radiologists and Radiographers with the provision of clinical care in a safe environment to a defined caseload of patients.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the maintenance of high standards of care in an environment, which promotes equality, emotional support and sensitivity for all individuals.

Care provided must be in adherence to departmental, local and national policies.

To adhere and maintain the required level of competencies within the specialised areas of the Diagnostic Imaging Department and Breast Screening

Assist with maintaining a high quality of patient care, for patients requiring interventional procedures. Setting up of trolleys for complex procedures using an aseptic technique. Caring for patient's comfort, dignity and privacy at all times

Ensure that relationships and own behaviour are managed in line with the Behavioural Framework competencies.

Qualifications Essential

IT skills - computer literacy and experience of using software systems Previous experience of working in a client / patient centred service
