Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Rehabilitation Health Care Support Worker to join the nursing team on Mynydd Mawr Rehabilitation Unit, Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.
This is a full-time post however part time hours maybe considered.
Main duties of the job
Mynydd Mawr is a 15 bedded unit specialising in Rehabilitation. We care for patients post-acute admission from a variety of specialities including General Medicine, General Surgery and Trauma & Orthopaedics. The unit strives to provide service users with a positive experience and support towards achieving prescribed rehabilitation goals.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop new knowledge and skills, working closely with Multidisciplinary team members within a positive, patient centred environment. The role does involve working as part of a team but has an aspect that requires the ability to work autonomously, when indicated.
Rehabilitation experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. However recent experience of working within a relevant health or social care sector service is essential. Evidence of continuing professional development at NVQ/Diploma level 3 qualification is also essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
