About this role

Job summary

Please note that this is a fixed-term post with a set end date of 31/12/2026.This role is not eligible for sponsorship.This post forms part of a service currently subject to a service improvement and redesign programme. Service delivery models, roles and structures will be reviewed as part of the improvement process, which may result in changes and a consultation process in line with the Trust's Organisational Change Policy.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service across the Community & Wellbeing Network, coordinating their activities with other members of the Administration Team to ensure that an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will be based at Ribbleton Clinic, but will be required at times to work flexibly between sites, as directed by their administration line manager. This ensures continuity of a quality service provision. The post holder will also be required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the Networks administrative service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a good standard of education with qualifications in English, Maths and Word Processing. Excellent computer skills are required. One of the primary purposes of this role is to provide a comprehensive administration service to the clinical teams in the Central and West; therefore general administration experience is essential in order to provide a professional service to the clinical teams. The post holder will also provide a telephony service for the clinical teams and therefore experience of dealing with people is essential, as are excellent interpersonal and customer care skills. It is essential that the post holder has good organisational and communication skills. The post holder will be required to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative. Under the leadership of the Admin Team Leader, the post holder will provide support and day to day supervision of Clerical Officers and act up on behalf of the Administration Team Leader as required.

Supporting the Admin Team Leader, the post holder will provide 1-1 supervision to a number of admin and clerical staff.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

5 GCE's grade C or above in including Mathematics and English Language or equivalent ECDL or equivalent NVQ 3 / RSA Grade 3 or equivalent

Knowledge Essential

Good working knowledge of all Microsoft office applications e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint Knowledge and awareness of working with people making health related changes Knowledge of effective admin systems and ability to apply to work

Experience Essential

Administration of meetings - organising, minute taking. Working in a customer services environment, dealing with individuals face to face and by telephone. Diary management
