Main duties of the job As a Healthcare Assistant at Elysium Healthcare, you will be working in Creswell, near Worksop, at Dove House. This position involves joining a supportive team to provide care for individuals with complex needs such as Learning Disabilities, Autism, and sensory and communication differences. The roles primary goal is to assist individuals in leading full and meaningful lives by fostering their independence through community engagement, developing social networks, and coping strategies. Potential candidates must have experience in Complex Care, Personality Disorders, Mental Health, or Learning Disabilities. The job entails providing day-to-day support with activities of daily living, community activities, record-keeping, and personal care. The work environment, though challenging, tends to be rewarding due to the significant positive impact on the service users' lives. The position requires working 12.5-hour shifts across 3-4 days a week, including nights and weekends. Additionally, employees may need to undertake transitional work to help service users relocate back to their local areas.

We are exclusively recruiting for candidates that have Complex Care, Personality Disorder, Mental Health, Learning Disability experience only. What you will be doing:

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day to day will include supporting individuals with activities of daily living, activities within the home and community, completing service user records and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal care.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends.

Dove House will support individuals who are currently out of area return to their local area; therefore, staff will be required to take part in transitional work, where they will visit and work them at their current placement. All expenses will be paid but this may require an overnight stay. Where you will be working:

Be part of a new team at this residential service for adults under 65 years with a Learning Disability, Autism and sensory and communication differences located in Creswell, a 10 minute drive from Worksop.

Dove House is a specialist, robust service to support people with ongoing complex needs and behaviours that challenge who are stepping down from hospital or to avoid an inappropriate admission to hospital and to enable them to return to their home area. The model was introduced to emulate community care for individuals with complex needs in robust, spacious accommodation.

The services are staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurses and Support Workers.
